Automatic dispatch sorting

In this project, we developed a Java application usable via the command line. The work was done in duo. Our mission was to classify several dispatches using an span that analyzed their content to determine their type (Political, Economic, Sports, etc.). The algorithm relied on a dictionary system containing words and scores associated with each category. Initially, these dictionaries were created manually, but to optimize the program, we implemented an automatic generation of the dictionaries. This project was very enriching, especially because it allowed me to become familiar with the use of Git.

Developer's Workspace Setup

This project involved starting from a blank virtual machine and installing an operating system as well as configuring the entire computer for development. I undertook this mission alone. I started by configuring the virtual machine and installing the Debian (Linux) operating system. The graphical environment was KDE/Plasma, which I also installed myself. The machine was intended to be used by a developer. Therefore, I started by installing Git. An IDE was needed, and the chosen one was IntelliJ. This software was installed in three different ways: via a snap package, via a flatpak package, and as an archive. It was a technical challenge that allowed me to better understand system configuration from scratch. I also learned a lot about the different ways to install software on Linux.

Titanic Database

In this project, we modeled and managed a database related to the Titanic sinking. In pairs, our goal was to analyze the factors influencing passenger survival. We integrated key entities such as 'Passenger', 'Ticket', and 'Lifeboat', providing crucial information about passengers and lifeboats. We defined relationships such as 'Boarded', 'Purchased', 'Survived', and 'Located' to model interactions between these entities. For example, the 'Survived' association allowed us to extract statistics on survival rates based on lifeboats and departure times. This project was very informative, allowing us to develop database management skills while studying the impacts of crisis management decisions during the Titanic sinking."

Orange Business Services for Students

Our mission was to transform the Orange Business Services website to maintain its professional appearance while making it accessible to third-grade interns. In a team of 3 people, we analyzed the site, retained the essential elements, and simplified the content to make it understandable. The site was developed to be usable on all types of screens. We implemented several technical elements such as a dynamic navigation bar or a functional contact form. It was a very good team project experience that taught me new things about development but especially about teamwork.

Little Space Manager

In this project, we developed a municipal event management application using JavaFX, a Java library for graphical user interfaces. The app simplifies event planning with features like schedule management, budget tracking, and resource management. Our team of six worked collaboratively, following the MVC architecture to separate business logic, display, and user interaction. Key features include automatic room availability to prevent booking conflicts and a budget management module. Using standard Java libraries, we focused on business logic, ensured code quality with unit tests, and used Git for version control. We also optimized performance, enhancing both execution time and memory use.

Château Trésor

In this project, our team of six developed a web application connecting castle owners, treasure hunt organizers, and players. The platform allows castle owners to list availability for their properties, organizers to create and manage custom treasure hunts with riddles and QR codes, and players to register, solve riddles via their smartphones, and earn rewards based on their scores (hints reduce points). For development, we used React with Next.js to build the frontend, following a component-based architecture for modularity. We also used Tailwind CSS for styling and integrated it seamlessly with our React components to achieve a consistent and scalable design. Supabase managed real-time data storage, authentication, and castle availability synchronization to avoid booking conflicts. Stripe handled secure payment processing for event registrations, and the app was deployed on Vercel for performance and scalability. We prioritized unit testing for critical features like QR code validation workflows, and data consistency. Collaboration was streamlined through Git, with a focus on code quality and maintainability.

FREGATE AERO

This project, carried out during my internship at FREGATE AERO, aimed to enable traceability of manufacturing orders by connecting the HELIOS ERP with UBUDU's Real Time Location System. Our VBA scripts queried the Oracle database of HELIOS ERP, retrieving key data such as order numbers, clients, order status, production phases, locations, and priorities. This data was then synchronized via REST API calls to the UBUDU platform. UBUDU provides Ultra Wide Band tags attached to manufacturing crates, each representing an Order of Fabrication (OF). The tags update their positions in real-time, while the order information is manually synchronized by the workshop managers. Users, including production workers and workshop chiefs, interact with Excel-based interfaces developed in VBA. These tools streamline loss prevention and search acceleration for the crates. This was the first project at the company to use API calls, paving the way for future integrations. Despite challenges such as the progressive delivery of UBUDU APIs, shared testing environments, and learning to work with VBA and Oracle databases for the first time, the project led to notable improvements in traceability and operational efficiency. I was trusted by FREGATE AERO to deploy this project at full production scale, marking a significant milestone in my internship.
